Back from my whirlwind trip with 90% of wedding decorations, 50% of vendors figured out, and a wedding dress! Also…I ate A LOT this weekend with my family and going to all the fancy restaurant. And guess what’s coming in the mail today? My bikini’s. Guess who needs to hit the gym? This kid.

Want to see some of the things I ate this weekend? Totally tasty, not so good for the waist line. ūüė¶ Did exercise one day with my sis, and then we did do A LOT of walking. So I think we still were pretty active.

Today started off with a cup o’ coffee with coconut creamer and a Peanut Butter Chocolate Zone bar. Not my first nutricious choice, but I forgot I had a meeting from 7:15 am to 8:15 am, so I scarfed it down! I am not on my second cup of coffee and I just realized it some how became 10 am. So I am hungry again.¬†I need to start eating well again, this weekend – I ate out so much and I did not hold back! I think I may have gained about 3 pounds. So let’s get this thing going. I am now having a second cup of coffee with vanilla and caramel machiatto creamer, plus drinking water (gotta stay hydrated), and about a 1/2 cup of apple sauce. Mmm! So tonight is going to be tricky – got a late flight in last night and early morning at work (doing for ten-hour shifts again). Tonight I wanted to exercise, but on 5 to 6 hours of sleep¬†– my body needs rest and I think we might do a frozen pizza for dinner.

Speaking of water РI do not drink enough of it. I am going to log my water throughout the day to reach a goal.  
+ 10:00am: 4 oz (out of my goal, 64oz)

A long day ahead of me.

I made my fiancee’s favorite burrito recipe – I really suck at taking pictures (even with my phone) – I had high hopes a took the picture below to start. Then I got a phone call from my mom and it was downhill from there. I have a¬†¬†digital camera, so I guess I could break that out. I’ve been using my phone camera to track my food. So far…not so good. Missed dinner pictures last night (I was famished after my quick workout! – it wasn’t great, but it was something), and breakfast again this moring. So I need to get¬†in the habit of that to track my food. So this picture is the start of the burritos¬†– onions cooking away. I’ll have to leave the rest to your imagination. I ate one burrito (about 7 months ago, I would’ve had two). For breakfast this morning, had the same overnight oats as yesterday (which chocolate chips and peanut butter) – with my coconut coffee! I am drinking water too, I feel super dehydrated.

Work is stressful. I work with a not so happy coworker (How to deal with a crabby coworker). Packing tonight – flight early tomorrow morning!! I must be at the airport at 5:10am. My sweetie is dropping me off uber-early! Trying on the jeans my friend gave me tonight, hoping to be able to do a fashion show and pack some of these cute jeans up! Wedding dress shoping – t-minus two days AAH! ūüôā Last ten hour day…lots of meetings but off on an adventure tomorrow. Need to get back into a great exercise routine I had. Ten hour work weeks and trips out of state for Wedding Dress shopping are not condusive to that!

Everything must have a beginning, so this the first installment of my blog. I am on the road to my wedding in 6 months Рand I want to look great! Not only do I want to look good for my wedding, but I also want to look good for myself and start healthy habits that will last a lifetime.

I already ordered three new bathing suits from Victoria Secret…so now I kinda sorta hafta get into good shape – or it’s just wasted money. So I am trying a new strategy. Strategy #1: Buy a piece of clothing that you will use as a goal to look good in. Nothing is more motivating that a skimpy bathing suit! Hey, maybe if all goes well – I’ll look like one of those models. ūüėČ

Another thing, this week is going to be a challege РI am working 4 ten-hour shifts at work as I am flying out of state to go wedding dress shopping this weekend! My job needs me and since no one can do my job РI feel like I need to be here full-time this week or I will be in a deep rut. So how am I going to be able to fit work-out into my 7am to 5pm work week? After a bout of sickness the past week, I need to get back on that exercise horse. I think my plan of attack will be exercise DVDs РJillian Micheals is my friend, right?

So, for weeks where time is short (much like this one!), I will be¬†using a DVD to get something done in the comfort of my own home on my own time (without going into the snow storm that we got last night, removing drive time and “set up” time at the gym to give me more time at home and time¬†to visit with my fiancee!). I also have some workouts that I pieced together from Health Magazine. It’s fairly easy to squeeze something in, just sometimes I am too tired to get it all in. I try to¬†exercise even a little everyday – obviously, some days, like when you are sick – motivation is hard to come by. I can’t wait until the warm weather is back so my fiancee and I can talk walks or ride bikes on days it’s hard to make it to the gym.

Hold up!¬†I am going¬†wedding dress shopping¬†this weekend (another reason to get on that exercise horse). And I think I have the perfect dress in mind, I love the Vneck dresses. I think that they are so pretty, and flattering.¬†When I first got engaged – I had no idea what I would want in a dress. But I just love these. So this weekend, the hunt in on. And¬†if I want something that fits nice, I will get my butt in gear and tone up! No bodice’s for me, or fabric that squeeze me tiny. I want to feel healthy and strong. Time to put my “Three E’s” into action: 1) Eat healthy, 2) Exercise strong, and 3) Enjoy life!

Breakfast: Overnight Oats with Vanilla Soy Milk and a big scoop of homemade Peanutella. And of course, no day can start without: coffee with soy milk and coconut coffee cream (yum!) ūüėÄ

Morning Snack: A banana the size of Florida.

Lunch: A PB & J with two salt water taffy’s.

Back to work. Time to get some stuff done in my long week! ūüėČ
